DAY 02 EL SALVADOR (This tour departs from San Salvador at 12.00 noon from Tuesday to Sunday, 4-5 hours and includes lunch). DAY 03 SAN SALVADOR Joyas del Ceren
Joya
de Ceren is considered to be the most important archeological site ever
discovered in El Salvador. Your guide will take the Quezaltepeque highway and on
the way you will see one of the
petrified lava rivers from the last eruption of this volcano in 1917, now known
as San Salvador’s volcano. We will stop to admire this beautiful landscape.
After this you will continue
Joya de Ceren which was declared world heritage by UNESCO in 1993 for
being the only location in the whole Mayan culture where you can appreciate the
day to day living styles of the popular pre-Columbian inhabitants. All was well
preserved thanks to the ashes of the volcano’s eruption. We will return to the
city through the Pan-American Highway going up and through the mountains that
belong to El Balsamo´s mountain range. (This tour departs from San Salvador at 8:30 a.m from Tuesday to Sunday, 4-5 hours and included lunch). DAY 04 SAN SALVADOR-SALINITAS Transfer to the all inclusive super Decameron in Salinitas. All meals, daily activities, drinks (alcoholic & soft drinks) and nightly shows are all included. DAY 02 EL SALVADOR DAY 03 SAN SALVADOR –The Imposible National Park EL Imposible National Park was created in 1989. This Park is internationally recognize for its biological richness which includes an extension of 5,458 acres and with good luck you will see the Quetzal and the Torogoz –The National Bird of El Salvador. Overnight hotel Radisson (B) DAY 04 SAN SALVADOR Joyas del Ceren/Tazumal Ruins Located 50 miles from San Salvador. It is one of the richest Archaeological Zones in the country. The main pyramid is dated 1,500 B.C. It was one of the biggest Mayan centers. Afternoon at leisure. (B) DAY 05 SAN SALVADOR Artesian Tours Visiting San Sebastian and Tobasco -Located 22 miles from San Salvador, it is a small town known for their typical textile handicrafts like hammocks DAY 06 SAN SALVADOR-SALINITAS Trasnsfer to the all inclusive super Decarmeron in Salinitas. All meals, daily activities, drinks (alcoholic & soft) and nightly shows are all included. DAY 07 SALINITAS At leisure to enjoy the all inclusive resort. All meals included DAY 08 SALINITAS-COPAN Transfer and early morning overland departure for Copan, Honduras. Here you will visit the archaeological site which contains the greatest collection of Mayan sculptures anywhere in Central America. Overnight at hotel, MARINA COPAN (AB) DAY 09 COPAN-SAN PEDRO DE SULA Morning at leisure to explore the area on your own. After return to San Pedro Sula. Overnight at Gran Hotel Sula.Overnight Marina Copan. (B) DAY 10 SAN PEDRO DE SULA
Morning tour of San Pedro Sula to
visit one of the many banana plantations in the area. Here you will receive a
brief history- how they are planted, harvested, transported and packed for
shipping. You will visit the headquarters village of La Lima, home of the
Chiquita Banana. Upon returning to San Pedro Sula visit the museum, the
residential areas, and the Guamilito artisan market to do your souvenir
shopping. (B) Depart early by 4x4 vehicles to climb to 6800 ft to the fast growth forest of el Cusuco National Park. Upon arrival at the visitors center, hike the different trails admiring the flora and fauna. You will see giant ferns, orchids, bromeliads and other plants and if you are lucky you will see the resplendent Quetzal in its breeding grounds observe different birds and flowers. You will be served cold snacks and soft drinks. Return to San Pedro Sula in the early afternoon. (B,L) DAY 12 SAN PEDRO - MIAMI Transfer to the airport for flight to Miami and connections. (B)
