Barcelo Montelimar is about 1 hour away from the city of Managua (same distance from the Managua International Airport).

The hotel's 290 rooms, including 212 bungalows, each have a fully equipped bathroom, two double beds or one king-size bed, balcony or terrace, air conditioning, minibar, satellite TV, telephone and safe.

There are 2 restaurants - buffet-style with a wide selection of regional specialties; and a second restaurant specializing in charcoal-grilled meats.

Other facilities include 2 swimming pools (one has a snack bar and is considered to be the largest swimming pool in Central America), a bar on the beach, Jacuzzi, gym, hairdresser's, massage service, pharmacy, spacious terraces and gardens, gift shop, jewelry boutique, travel agency, discotheque, casino and small zoo. Sporting Activities

For sports lovers, there are two tennis courts, a soccer field, mini golf course, athletic track, horseback riding school, and all the necessary conditions for water sports such as scuba diving, kayaking or windsurfing.
