THERMAS DE PUYUHUAPI-PATAGONIA

Patagonia is powerful, fascinating and mysterious. In this solitude of the Americas, in a land that continues untamed, and where nature remains pristine, you will discover one of the best-kept secrets: PUYUHUAPI HOTEL & SPA.

Within this lush vegetation along the banks of Dorita Bay, emerge this unique place where exist the perfect equilibrium of sophisticated and premeditated simplicity.
All you are looking for is here giving you the chance to begin every day a revitalizing experience: you can discover the verdant rainforest, take excursions to the Queulat National Park, go bike riding on the Carretera Austral or sail in kayaks through the fjords. You can delight in trying the exquisite regional cuisine and our selection of Chilean wines.

At our Spa three different waters converge: sea water, thermal water and water right from the waterfall, and you can enjoy the benefits of all three in one place.

An excursion on the modern PATAGONIA EXPRESS completes the program, cruising through the fjords until reaching San Rafael Lagoon and its amazing glacier

4 days/3 nights

Departs Saturdays or Tuesdays

Day 01 Saturday or Tuesday:

Balmaceda-Chacabuco-Puyuhuapi

Reception in  Balmaceda airport. We begin the tour through the Aysen region, crossing during 45 min Patagonian pampas to reach the city of Coyhaique. Along the way we are likely to spot pairs of caiquenes (wild goose)and flocks of bandurrias (storks) through the tall grasses. The vast remains of burned over forests are vestiges of the region’s recent colonization period. After a short visit to the city, we continue on, following the Simpson River until we reach Puerto Chacabuco (1:15 hr), where the PATAGONIA EXPRESS catamaran waits to take us on a 5-hour cruise through the southern fjords and channels to reach our destination: the TERMAS DE PUYUHUAPI, HOTEL & SPA. Welcome! (L, D)

Day 02 Sunday or Wednesday: Termas de Puyuhuapi, Hotel & SPA

The hotel offers thermal outdoor pools at the edge of the sea, paths for walks through the cold forest, visits to the Queulat National Park with its Hanging Glacier, bicycle trips along the Austral Road, or, if you wish, you can explore the Dorita Bay in boats or kayaks.

The SPA’s facilities are complete. Enjoy its large hydro massage pool, Jacuzzis, spring-water fountain, and steam sauna, and then reap the benefits of thalasso therapy sessions, relaxation massages, and facial and other treatments.

The staff of Puyuhuapi has prepared a variety of activities to make your stay a unique experience. (B,L,D)

Day 03 Monday or Thursday: Puyuhuapi-San Rafael Lagoon-Chacabuco

Your day begins early. At 7:00 am you will board the PATAGONIA EXPRESS catamaran and begin the journey through the austral fjords on the way to the San Rafael Lagoon. The 7-hour trip is a sheer delight to the senses: the transparency of the waters, the majesty of the Andes Mountains wrapped in lush forests, the play of light interwoven through the clouds, and sometimes... encounters with playful dolphins.

Sailing through a number of channels, we finally reach the Tempanos River, which leads us to the San Rafael Lagoon, home to a millenarian glacier. Experience it! After a visit of approximately 2 hours, we begin our return trip, arriving in Puerto Chacabuco around 10:30 pm, where we will be transferred to the hotel in this port. (B,L,D)

Day 04Tuesday or Friday:Chacabuco-Balmaceda
