Day 01 : USA-CARACAS:

Day 02 : CARACAS

Caracas  is the capital and largest city of Venezuela. It is located in the north of the country, following the contours of the narrow Caracas Valley on the Venezuelan coastal mountain range (Cordillera de la Costa). The city was founded on July 25, 1567 by the Spanish Captain Diego de Losada as Santiago de Leon de Caracas. Today, Greater Caracas had an estimated population of about 5 million inhabitants. Morning visit to the city of Caracas including the main points of interest in the historical city - Bolivar's birthplace, the Pantheon where his remains lie, the Plaza Bolivar, the Cathedral, and very picturesque constructions reminiscent of Spanish colonial days.
 

Day 03 : CARACAS

Full day tour to the beautiful Colonia Tovar Village. The only German colony around the Caribbean Region. Founded in 1843 by 400 pioneers in a rain- forest area, at approx. 6000 feet above sea level, at a distance of 40 miles away from Caracas; inhabited now by approx. 6,000 people. Visit to a local Museum, handicraft local shops, the village, and afterwards a nice lunch in a beatiful local restaurant.
 

Day 04 : CARACAS-MARGARITA ISLAND
Transfer to the airport for flight to Margarita island. Arrive and transfer to hotel selected.
 

Day 05, 06: MARGARITA ISLAND
Days at leisure to explore this fun island on your own.
 

Day 07: MARGARITA-CARACAS-MIAMI
Transfer to the airport for flight to USA.

Day 03: CARACAS-CANAIMA

Transfer to the airport for flight to Canaima. Arrive and transfer to Waku Lodge or Hoturvensa Lodge. Afternoon visit to the Canaima Lagoon where many falls will be seen on the way to Sapo Falls (Frog Falls).  It is a beautiful site where you will have a chance to walk under the falls which are about 60 feet high and about 360 feet wide...time for a bath and pictures.... Return to the Waku Lodge or Hoturvensa Lodge. Day 04: CANAIMA-ANGEL FALLS

Morning flight over Canaima National Park located on the table top mountain region of Venezuela -they are called Tepuis- and rang from 1,000 feet to 8,400 feet tall....absolutely a spectacular site, never to be forgotten. Here you will see the "Cristal Mountain" called Roraima Tepui...which is about 2 billion years old.  Next area is "Angel Falls" or Salto Ángel which is the world's highest free-leaping waterfall at 979 meters (3,212 feet) with an uninterrupted drop of 807 meters (2,648 feet). It is located on the Auyan Tepui river. The river that forms the drop is the Kerepakupay, in the Canaima National Park, Venezuela. Afternoon at leisure. (B,L,D)

 

Day 05: CANAIMA-MARGARITA ISLAND
Transfer to the airport for flight to Margarita island. Arrive and transfer to hotel selected.
 

Day 06, 07: MARGARITA ISLAND
Days at leisure to explore this fun island on your own.
 

Day 08: MARGARITA-CARACAS-MIAMI
Transfer to the airport for flight to USA.

Angel Falls River Trip Adventure

Canaima National Park

 

Canaima’s giant National Park of 3 million hectares, which is the same area as Switzerland, is located on Table-Top mountain. “Tepuy” (in Pemon’s indian language) is a region of Venezuela which is 450 mts to 2,810 mts and is famous worldwide. “Cristal-mountain” Roraima-Tepuy, is the oldest world formation: 2 billions years old (Pre-Cambrian Era). Inside are the largest waterfalls in the world- Angels Falls.

Canaima’s lake is ideal for resting, swimming and enjoying the jungle. Local canoes will take you on a scenic boat ride on the reddish colored waters of the lake and near by rivers.

 

Angel Falls river trip is for adventurous spirits who have the desire to know this natural spectacle; 900 mts Kavak Canyon is a crack into the Tepuy, which hides a wonderful small creek.  Arekuna is a quiet, white sandy beach near the confluence of rivers Cucurital & Caroní, approx. 56 kms from Canaima Lake.

 

3 Days/2 Nights

 

Beautiful river trip to see Angel Falls including all meals, camping equipment, guide, helpers, transfers.

 

Day 01: ARRIVE CANAIMA

Meet at Canaima airport by a representative who will give you assistance. After lunch transfer to the wharf, check-in assistance for the boating upriver Carrao, bordering Tepuys and crossing some little rapids. Upon arrival at Ratoncito island, rest and overnight in hammocks.

Day 02: RATONCITO-ANGEL FALLS

We’ll continue with a 2 hour soft hike up to the foot of the Majestic Angel Falls. Picnic, rest and refreshing bath at sightseeing point of El Mirador de Laime (Laime was an old Ukranian adventurer who lived in Canaima lake surroundings as a hermit). Rest and overnight at Ratoncito islet in hammocks. 

Day 03: DEPART CANAIMA

Back to Canaima airport, visiting first Orchid Island. Arrival at airport to meet a representative who will assist for the return flight back. 

 

 

Excursion effective only from May to November.
3 day/2 nights in hammock with all meals + RT Transfers in Canaima.
Rain jacket and sturdy shoes recommended.
