DAY 1 -ARRIVE IN BELIZE -CONNECT TO AMBREGRIS CAYE
Arrive in Belize City. After going thru immigration and custom formalities, continue to the counter of Maya Island Air to check-in for your flight to Ambergris Caye. Arrive and meet by the hotel Sunbreeze representative. Check-in at the hotel where you will stay for 7 nights.
DAY 2 -AMBERGRYIS CAYE:
Snorkel Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley Tour
A 2 ½ hr Snorkel Tour to Hol Chan and Shark Ray
Alley Marine Reserves located right at the
Barrier Reef US$ 10 Park Fee and Snorkel Gear
Not included. Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark
Ray Alley are approximately 4 miles south east
of SunBreeze Hotel. It is the single most
popular day trip from San Pedro, perfect for
snorkelling. Hol Chan is Mayan for ‘little
channel.” The entire reserve focuses on a cut
through the reef (called a quebrada) which is
little more than 25 yards wide and 30 feet deep.
Over 160 species of fish have been identified in
the reserve, along with nearly 40 species of
corals, 5 sponges, 8 algae’s, 2 sea grasses, 3
marine mammals and 3 species of sea turtle.
Annexed to Hol Chan is Shark Ray Alley. Nurse
Sharks and Rays have a great tolerance for
snorkellers and seem to enjoy the human
interaction.
DAY 3 -AMBERGRIS CAYE:
Full Day Adventure to Lamanai River Jungle Tour
A full day adventure to the ancient Maya City of
Lamanai Temples -“submerged crocodile” Jungle
River Adventure Enjoy as you wind your way
through the Northern River to a village named
Bomba, here you will see a rich variety of flora
and fauna. From here you will board a private
bus that will take you along the Old Pan
American Highway to Tower Hill in Orange Walk –
along the journey you will enjoy seeing the
diverse Belizean Countryside and local villages.
Once at Tower Hill another jungle river ride
resumes, here you will encounter wildlife
including birds, monkeys, and crocodiles and
medicinal plants. Once at the Lamanai Temples
you will enjoy a lunch of local fare below the
canopy of the jungle and then you guided tour to
the Ancient and Largest Mayan Ruin begins, you
can visit the museum and enjoy the panoramic
view of untouched jungle, Maya mountains and the
New River Lagoon while photographing intricate
Mayan Carvings. Your jungle tour ends with a
short walk through each temple. You are sure to
see native wildlife at its very best during this
memorable tour.
DAY 4 -AMBERGRIS CAYE: Full Day Adventure to
Cave Tubing and Ziplining
A full day Cave Tubing & Zipline – This
wonderful day begins as we make our way towards
the Old Belize River. Once in the River, you
will be served a light breakfast while you
encounter wildlife such as crocodiles, iguanas
and howler monkeys. When we reach Manatee
Lookout you will board a private bus with a
guide who takes you to Jaguar Paw. At Jaguar
Paw, you travel through the jungle to the Zip
Line, where you climb to the first platform.
From there you “Zip” through the dense tropical
rainforest canopy in eight different stages.
After about an hour and a half, you return to
the resort lunch. After lunch, your guide takes
you along a 40 minute jungle trail up to the
entrance to Xibalba caves. Then it is time to
put on your head lamps, and inner tubes and
splash into the cool water and be amazed as you
glide through the amazing caves filled with
stalactites, stalagmites, and crystals. Caves
were once the worship temples of the Maya.
DAY 5 -AMBERGRIS CAYE

DAY 01 ARRIVE BELIZE

DAY 2 BELIZE: CAVE TUBING (full day)
A transfer from Belize City on the Western Highway
brings you to the Cave Branch River and its winding
path through the Maya Mountain and numerous ancient
caves once inhabited by the Maya. On arrival at
Jaguar Paw, be prepared for a 45-minute jungle trail
hike. Your guide will point out various plants,
roots, and herbs once used by the ancient Maya.
The entrance tunnel that heads into the underground cave system is the start of an “eye opening” adventure. Your guide hands out lights, and you are ready to float in inflated inner tubes assisted by gentle current taking you through the cave system. Intricate crystalline formations line the caves and stalagmites and stalactites add to the serene opulence of nature.
Come dressed in bathing
suits, T-shirts, shorts, tennis shoe or water shoes.
A change of clothes, shoes and a towel are
recommended. Dine on a freshly prepared local lunch

DAY 3 BELIZE: BARTON CREEK CANOEING –
(full day)
Barton Creek Cave was an ancient Maya Indian burial
site. The cave is only accessible by canoe. The
formations of stalactites and stalagmites are
beautiful. The trip to the cave is very scenic and
passes through the Barton Creek Mennonite community.
You will get a glimpse of the Mennonites as they go
about their daily routines. After the cave canoe
trip, you will want to take a swim in the crystal
clear Barton Creek.
DAY 4 BELIZE: AM Aerial Trek - A Zipline
Adventure (half day) PM BELIZE-AMBERGRIS
A 37 mile trip up the Western Highway brings you to
the caves Branch River System, your headquarters for
the day. Aerial Trek is a zip-line tour through
broadleaf rainforest and begins with a ten minute
hike through the rainforest to the starting
platform. The tour features an intricate harness
system of pulleys on horizontal traverse cables
which lets you “zip” 100 – 124 feet between treetop
platforms secured 70 feet high at canopy level.
This level literally gives you a bird’s eye view of
all the tropical palms and trees. A truly
unforgettable experience!

DAY 02 CARACOL
MAYAN SITE-RIO ON POOLS
Caracol ruins ("snail") are considered to represent the largest Maya
city in Belize and home to the largest man-made structure in the
country.
The day begins with a delicious breakfast at the resort. Depart at
7:00am for an adventure deep into the jungles of the Maya Mountains,
habitat to wild animals such as tapirs, jaguars, monkeys, toucans,
and scarlet macaws. In the years past, it used to take 2 days by
horseback to reach the Caracol Maya ruins! Thankfully the journey is
now less than two hours and is filled with stunning scenery along
the way.
Your tour guide will take you to visit ancient courtyards, ball
courts, residential complexes and a complete astronomical
observatory. Over 100 tombs have been uncovered to date. One of the
best preserved is that of an adult woman (believed to be the wife of
Lord Water – the ruler who conquered Tikal). Carved stelae detail
victories by Caracol over rival Maya cities of Tikal and Naranjo.
Caana (Sky Place) is Caracol’s tallest structure, standing over 140
feet 42 meters above the jungle canopy, where visitors can climb to
the top and marvel at 360 panoramic stunning views of the jungle,
below.
Afterwards you can enjoy a refreshing swim at Rio On Pools. Formed
by granite boulders, this series of natural swimming pools is a
popular spot to unwind and cool off. The majestic boulders provide a
beautiful resting place to enjoy the end of the day.
KA’ANA BOUTIQUE RESORT & SPA – (B,L,D)
DAY 03 JUNGLE - CAVE TUBING
After breakfast depart for some -Cave tubing...After being outfitted
with the necessary equipment, begin the one mile trek through
sub-tropical trails, wade across a shallow portion of the river and
pass through two caves before reaching a stunning lagoon surrounded
by steep limestone walls. Along the way, your guide will point out
various exotic flora and fauna native to Belize.
Float along the cool waters illuminated by your headlamp, gently
pushed by a current or led by your guide into two large chambers -
both impressive sanctuaries used by the Mayas for sacrificial
rituals. Plunge into darkness and listen to the sounds of the
cascading waterfalls and bubbling rapids. Upon exiting the caves,
continue floating along the jungle-lined river for approximately
thirty minutes before returning to the starting point.
Return to Ka'ana for another delicious dinner. (Overnight at

DAY 6 MON. GUATEMALA-TIKAL: (shared tour)
Today you will go back more than 2,000 years in time when you visit the Tikal National Park. Early morning you will be picked up at your hotel for transfer to the airport to board the flight to Flores, Petén . On arrival, our representative will take you to the Mayan City of Tikal which is located in the center of the National Park that bears its name, and has an extension of 222 square miles. Tikal was inhabited from 600 BC., till 869 AD. Its highlight was between 690 till 850 AD., a time period known by archaeologists as the Late Classic. Visit the Twin-Pyramid Complexes “Q” and “R”, Lost World Complex where the Great Pyramid and Temple 5C-49 are the most important. Also, visit Temple III and the Palace of the Windows, the Great Plaza, squared off with the pyramids of the Grand Jaguar and the Masks, the Palace of the Nobles, and Pyramid IV. This one is the highest of the Mayan pyramids, from its top a complete view of Tikal and its surrounding jungle can be enjoyed. Overnight at hotel Camino Real overlooking Lake Peten. (AB,L)
DAY 7 TUE. TIKAL-BELIZE:
