DAY 01 ARRIVE IN SAN
SALVADOR
Arrive in San Salvador and Capital of EL Salvador. and transfer to

DAY 02 EL SALVADOR-City tour
This morning your tour local guide will be pleased to show you San
Salvador, the most populous city of EL SALVADOR. It is the country's
political, cultural, educational and financial center.The
Metropolitan Area of San Salvador which comprises the capital itself
and 13 of its municipalities has a population of 2,404,097. San
Salvador is also an important financial hub of Central America. Your
tour guide will explain all about the complex history of the
country, the culture and the people. You’ll be discovering the
historical center of San Salvador with its cathedral, the Rosario
church and the Bishop Romero’s Mausoleum. We’ll be having a quick
panoramic tour of the old and new neighborhoods of San Salvador.

DAY 03 SAN SALVADOR Joyas del Ceren & San Andres
Joya de Ceren is considered to be the most important archeological
site ever discovered in El Salvador. Your guide will take the
Quezaltepeque highway and on the way you will see one of the
petrified lava rivers from the last eruption of this volcano in
1917, now known as San Salvador’s volcano. We will stop to admire
this beautiful landscape. After this you will continue Joya de Ceren
which was declared world heritage by UNESCO in 1993 for being the
only location in the whole Mayan culture where you can appreciate
the day to day living styles of the popular pre-Columbian
inhabitants. All was well preserved thanks to the ashes of the
volcano’s eruption. We will return to the city through the
Pan-American Highway going up and through the mountains that belong
to El Balsamo´s mountain range. (Duration of tour 4-5 hours)

DAY 04 SAN SALVADOR -Suchitoto & Suchitlan's Lake
Visit this charming town related with the foundation of San
Salvador, cobbled streets and nice shops. Suchitoto is located in
Cuscatlán is a department of El Salvador, located in the center of
the country. With a surface area of 756.19 square kilometres (291.97
sq mi), it is El Salvador's smallest department. Cuzcatlán was the
name the original inhabitants of the Western part of the country
gave to most of the territory that is now El Salvador. In their
language it means "land of precious jewels". It was created on 22
May 1835. Suchitoto was the first capital of the department until
1861.A boat tour on Lake is also included, where observation of
migratory birds is frequently, free time for lunch. (Duration 5-6
hours)

DAY 05 SAN SALVADOR-The flower's route –Full day
The Flowers Route is one of the most popular tourist destinations
and named for its abundance of flowers on the picturesque road.
Colorful villages, coffee, natural beauty, crafts, cuisine,
festivals, mild weather. Visit the colonial style towns with
beautiful mountainous vegetation: Juayúa, Nahuizalco where you can
enjoy a guided tour by the community, Apaneca and Ataco, two of
greatest coffee making towns. Observe the elaboration of handicrafts
of the zone and make shopping in the local stores. At Nahuizalco you
will take a guided walk through the local community that will know
the city and the lifestyle of the locals. Juayúa has a pleasant and
temperate climate because of its location of 1,025 meters above sea
level. In winter it is common to note that descend from the hill
Apaneca mist toward the outskirts of town, while in summer the

DAY 06 SAN SALVADOR- Cerro Verde & Izalco
Morning half day visit to Cerro Verde National Park and located
Between 3 active volcanoes (Izalco and San Ana volcanoes) From here

of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world Coatepeque.

DAY 02 EL SALVADOR-City tour
Half day sightseeing tour of San Salvador City, visiting the
residential districts, International Fair Grounds, national Museum,
National Palace, National University, the Cathedral, Cuscatlan Park

DAY 03 SAN SALVADOR –The Imposible National Park
EL Imposible National Park was created in 1989. This Park is
internationally recognize for its biological richness which includes
an extension of 5,458 acres and with good luck you will see the
Quetzal and the Torogoz –The National Bird of El Salvador.

DAY 04 SAN SALVADOR- Joyas del Ceren/Tazumal Ruins
Morning
Joyas del Ceren “The Pompei of the Americas: The eruption of the
LOMA CALDERA VOLCANO about 600 AD caused 10 meters of
pyroclastic debris to settle over the site. The site was remarkably
well preserved due to the low temperature of ash and very fast
ashfall, a 4 - 8 meter thick layer having blanketed the town in the
space of a few hours. The use of plaster casting by archaeologists
similar to the one used in Pompeii assisted in their identification
of fruiting plants, abundance of beans in storage, and mature maize to
predict the eruption happened in August or September.
Then, to Tazumal located 50 miles from San Salvador. It is one of
the richest Archaeological Zones in the country. The main pyramid is
dated 1,500 B.C. It was one of the biggest Mayan centers. (tour last

DAY 05 SAN SALVADOR- Tour Artesanal
Visiting San Sebastian and Tobasco -Located 22 miles from San
Salvador, it is a small town known for their typical textile
handicrafts like hammocks. Overnight in San Salvador. (B)

Transfer to the all inclusive Royal Decameron in Salinitas. All

Early morning overland departure for Copan, Honduras.
Here you will visit the archaeological site which contains the
greatest collection of Mayan sculptures anywhere in Central America.
